UWTSD London Students’ Union | Cultural Event

 

Delivered a high-impact cultural engagement initiative celebrating Holi, designed to increase student participation, strengthen community cohesion, and generate qualitative insight into student engagement preferences.

 

What I did:

  • Partnered with Multicultural and Wellbeing Officers to translate student-led ideas into a structured and deliverable initiative

  • Led end-to-end coordination, including procurement of materials (paints, canvases) and event logistics

  • Facilitated interactive, student-led participation through creative engagement formats

  • Delivered the initiative in direct response to student demand for culturally representative events

Easter Celebration Event: Large-Scale Interaction & Insight Initiative

UWTSD London Students’ Union | Cultural Event

Led delivery of a large-scale seasonal engagement event, designed to maintain student interaction during the assessment period while capturing high-volume, actionable feedback.

What I did:

  • Collaborated with the Wellbeing & Disabilities Officer to structure and deliver a high-participation engagement initiative

  • Managed end-to-end delivery including budgeting, procurement, logistics, and facilitation

  • Designed and delivered an interactive Easter egg painting activity engaging hundreds of students

  • Ensured consistent feedback capture throughout the event

  • Hundreds of students engaged during a typically low-activity period

Ramadan Engagement: Inclusive Cultural Experience Initiative

UWTSD London Students’ Union | Cultural Event

 

Co-delivered a culturally inclusive engagement initiative during Ramadan, designed to support student wellbeing, increase representation, and capture meaningful qualitative insight.

What I did:

  • Partnered with the Multicultural Officer to translate student feedback into a culturally responsive initiative

  • Delivered a calligraphy workshop alongside a “thoughts and wishes” board to capture student reflections

  • Facilitated meaningful student interaction in an inclusive and respectful environment

Bake & Greet: Building Community Through Conversation

UWTSD London Students’ Union | Part-Time Officer Initiative

The Bake & Greet was a student-focused engagement initiative designed to create an informal space where students could meet their Part-Time Officer team, learn about Students’ Union support, and share feedback about their university experience.

 

What I did:

  • Coordinated delivery of a multi-day student engagement initiative

  • Supported Part-Time Officers in planning and on-the-day delivery

  • Oversaw logistics, materials, and on-site engagement flow

  • Designed feedback collection methods to capture student insight

Engagement & Feedback:

  • Hundreds of written feedback notes collected

  • High levels of participation and informal student interaction

  • Positive sentiment reflected through written responses and engagement levels

Democratic Engagement & Elections

Warwick Students’ Union & National Union of Students (UK)

Supported the delivery and governance of large-scale elections and democratic engagement initiatives, using participation data and operational insight to improve turnout, transparency, and process effectiveness across the student body.

What I did:

  • Contributed to end-to-end delivery of student elections, supporting 4,800+ voters (2022/23) and 5,500+ voters (2023/24)

  • Coordinated key operational elements, including candidate briefings, Q&A sessions, nominations processes, and formal council minuting

  • Analysed participation data alongside operational delivery to identify engagement trends and areas for improvement

Methods & approach:

  • Combined operational delivery with participation data analysis to inform decision-making

  • Applied process improvement thinking to identify inefficiencies and optimise election workflows

  • Supported transparent communication structures to increase accessibility and student trust

  • Enabled data-informed engagement strategies to improve participation and awareness

  • Contributed to record student turnout, including a high-profile SU re-affiliation vote passing at 80/20

Hidden Disabilities Week: Evidence-Led Awareness & Insight Campaign

UWTSD London Students’ Union | Raising-Awareness Week 

Worked on a three-day awareness and engagement campaign focused on hidden disabilities, designed to increase visibility, capture student insight, and inform improvements to institutional support services.

What I did:

  • Partnered with the Disabilities Officer to design, structure, and deliver a multi-day engagement campaign

  • Led planning, budgeting, coordination, and delivery across in-person and online formats

  • Developed and implemented mixed-method feedback collection approaches​

 

Engagement & Data:

  • 350+ data points and written feedback collected

  • Combined physical and digital data collection forms/slips

  • High engagement across a diverse student population​

Christmas Wellbeing Tree: Evidence-Led Student Engagement
UWTSD London Students’ Union | 3-day campus-wide initiative

 

I coordinated and supported the delivery of a three-day student wellbeing and engagement initiative designed to capture structured student voice through written reflection, informal conversation, and campus participation.

 

What I did:

  • Coordinated a multi-day engagement initiative across the London campus

  • Worked with Student Services, Wellbeing, Careers, Facilities, Design & Comms, and academic staff

  • Designed and distributed structured reflection slips to capture qualitative data

  • Managed on-site delivery, engagement flow, and data collection

  • 258 written wellbeing responses collected
    (Day 1: 60 | Day 2: 90 | Day 3: 108)

  • Qualitative coding and thematic analysis (Excel / NVivo-style approach)

  • Insight synthesis for institutional reporting and student experience improvement

Digital Populism & Youth Voting Behaviour in Europe

Independent Mixed-Methods Research Project | University of Warwick

Independent mixed-methods research project examining how European populist parties use digital discourse to engage young voters and influence voting behaviour.

The project combined Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) with NVivo thematic coding and quantitative analysis of polling and electoral data (including Eurostat and YouGov) to explore how online political messaging shapes youth political attitudes and participation across Europe.

Methods & approach:

  • Critical Discourse Analysis of populist digital rhetoric

  • NVivo-assisted thematic coding of qualitative data

  • Quantitative analysis of youth voting patterns and polling data

  • Cross-national comparative analysis
